Job summary

Iceland Foods is seeking a Mobile Refrigeration Engineer to join our in-house refrigeration team covering Portsmouth, Chichester and Bognor Regis. You’ll maintain and repair refrigeration equipment across stores, ensuring reliable operation and compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent experience.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Strong refrigeration fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently with a strong customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair refrigeration assets across designated stores (display cabinets, freezers, cold rooms, packs, condensers, chillers).
• Diagnose faults using engineering expertise and remote monitoring platforms (RDM, Monika).
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with store colleagues to deliver excellent service and minimize disruption.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas requirements and Health & Safety standards.
• Complete digital reports and maintain accurate compliance records.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Refrigeration Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment across your designated stores, ensuring our systems remain reliable, compliant and operating at peak performance.

You'll

• Maintain and repair refrigeration assets including display cabinets, freezers, cold rooms, refrigeration packs, condensers and chillers.
• Diagnose faults using both your engineering expertise and remote monitoring platforms such as RDM and Monika.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Work closely with store colleagues to deliver excellent service and keep disruption to a minimum.
• Ensure all work complies with F-Gas requirements and Health & Safety standards.
• Complete digital reports and maintain accurate compliance records.

What We're Looking For
