Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting recycling centre operatives to work in the Ipswich & Bury St Edmunds area. This role includes paid training on Plant Machinery and a paid First Aid course, with full support to help you develop skills on site.

Shifts run 5 days out of 7, including weekends, and mileage/travel time between depots is paid. Bank holidays pay at a higher rate, and there are ongoing assignments with potential permanent opportunities after a successful trial.

Qualifications

• Willingness to operate plant machinery as needed.
• Commitment to safety and adhering to procedures.

• Assist Recycling Team to deliver a safe and efficient service.
• Provide high standard of customer care and assist the public with waste disposal.

Reliable transport to be able to travel to any site on the contract to provide cover, milage and travel time paid.

Pay rates

• £12.71 per hour - Any days.
• £25.42 per hour - Bank Holidays

Mileage and Travel time between depots is paid.

Shifts cover any 5 of 7 days, so will include weekend working

Responsibilities

• To operate the Recycling Centre safely and efficiently and in line with company procedures and policies, Environmental Permit, Planning Permissions and Contract Specification.
• To assist the Recycling Team in delivering a safe and efficient Recycling Centre service.
• To ensure that the highest standard of customer care is maintained at all times
• Responsibility to deliver a high standard of customer service to the public by actively encouraging reuse and recycling as well as assisting the public with their waste disposal.

April to 30 Sept Mon-Sun 08:45-17:15

Oct to 31

March Mon-Sun 08:45-16:15

May to 31

August late night Thursdays 08:45-19:15
