Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a skilled technician to join our expanding construction division. You will service and maintain mobile plant equipment across customer sites, focusing on planned servicing and preventative maintenance.

This role excludes breakdowns or repairs and emphasizes safety, compliance, and on-site professionalism. You will work independently in a mobile role and document all service activities accurately.

Qualifications

• Experience with mobile/heavy plant machinery in a servicing or maintenance capacity.
• Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to follow service schedules, checklists, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on mobile plant machinery.
• Complete routine inspections, checks, and fluid changes.
• Identify and report potential issues or wear for further action.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused on-site presence.
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and compliance.
