Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Exeter is seeking a mechanical technician to maintain plant equipment up to high standards and consistently meet customer expectations. You will perform repairs, inspections and routine servicing to ensure reliability on site.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a hands-on, flexible approach. Powered Access experience is desirable, and strong teamwork is essential for our fast-growing construction division.

Qualifications

• Experience in the plant hire or equipment industry.
• Team player with ability to support colleagues.
• Self-motivated with a flexible working approach.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Powered Access experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Repair and pre-hire inspections of equipment.
• Maintenance of equipment.
• Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs.
• Service and inspection of all equipment.
• Work with plant and powered access equipment.
• Ensure equipment meets cleanliness, functionality and compliance standards.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing construction division? We are looking for a talented mechanical technician to join our team to ensure our plant equipment is maintained to the highest standard whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
What will you be doing?

• Equipment repair and pre hire inspections
• Maintenance of equipment
• Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
• Service and inspection of all equipment
• Working with plant and powered access equipment
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and compliance
