BAM Site Solutions is looking to recruit a Mobile Plant Mechanic to cover our Southern Region. You can be based from any of these locations: Swindon, Basingstoke, Reading, Eastleigh, & surrounding areas.

Your mission

1. Carry out workplace risk assessments on your own and with your team.
2. Communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
3. Resolve technical problems related to plant and equipment, share knowledge, and use your initiative on-site.
4. Perform and record regular plant inspections.
5. Carry out scheduled servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
6. Maintain internal plant to Site Solutions standards.
7. Conduct on and off hire PDI inspections to standards.
8. Perform thorough examination inspections.
9. Provide clear and concise data and records.
10. Lead familiarization sessions or advise others (apprentices/operators) on safe operation and maintenance of plant.
11. Advise or seek advice on plant modifications to ensure compliance with Change Control Procedures.
12. Identify opportunities to implement new technology.
13. Follow daily/weekly work programs set by your manager.
14. Collaborate with operational teams on workload.
15. Train, mentor, and develop others.
16. Maintain a personal diary/CPD record to demonstrate career development.
17. Record all work within the company's electronic system.
18. Perform workshop inspections as instructed.
19. Keep work areas safe and tidy.
20. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation and company policies.
21. Assist in implementing 'Your Safety is My Safety.'
22. Manage working hours on-site according to company procedures.
23. Maintain the company vehicle and contents.
24. Respond to unforeseen mechanical issues outside normal hours.
25. Maintain sufficient spare parts stocks in the company vehicle.
26. Perform other tasks relevant to your role or development.
