About Our Opportunity

Join EMR as a UK Operations Mobile Plant Manager, based in Salford. It is a unique opportunity to lead the development and delivery of EMR’s Mobile Plant strategy across our UK operations, ensuring industry-leading maintenance and operational standards are upheld.

What You Will Be Doing

In addition, you will ensure all statutory maintenance is completed to the highest standards and oversee warranty claims, repairs, and servicing to maintain cost efficiency.

This position will also see you act as the subject matter expert for equipment across the organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring SHEQ standards are met within your team and continually work to improve processes, including those related to minimising plant downtime and enhancing overall efficiency.

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in a managerial role within industries such as plant hire, contracting, aggregates, or recycling. Strong technical knowledge of Mobile Plant is essential, alongside experience in developing and executing maintenance plans. To excel, you will possess excellent communication, organisational, and team-working abilities.

A full UK driving licence is required, along with a willingness to travel extensively across the UK, which will include overnight stays. You will be detail-conscious and numerate, with a focus on problem-solving and a creative mindset for implementing innovative solutions. Additionally, a commercially driven approach, combined with a determination to enhance profitability and operational efficiency, will be highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and hands-on, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
