Acorn Recruitment is recruiting a Mobile Plant Fitter for Scunthorpe Steelworks. This permanent role covers maintenance, servicing, and repair across mobile plant equipment in a high-profile industrial setting. A mechanical qualification and a full UK driving licence are required, with travel to various sites as needed.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate starting at £18 per hour, with overtime (£27) and Sunday rates (£36), plus a company van for site and fieldwork.

Competenze

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
• Mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction plant equipment including excavators and dump trucks.
• Experience in quarrying, recycling or industrial environments.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• CCNSG Site Safety Passport, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to different locations as required.

Mansioni

• Fit meshes and bearings, and replace belts.
• Repair screening and crushing equipment and heavy plant.
• Diagnose faults and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Mobile Plant Fitter for a respected subcontractor based at Scunthorpe Steelworks.

This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter or Heavy Plant Mechanic with a background in mobile screening equipment, heavy plant or industrial machinery. You'll carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs across a range of plant equipment in a high-profile industrial environment.

What We Offer

Basic rate of £18 per hour for the first 40 hours.

Overtime and Saturday rate of £27 per hour.

Sunday and bank holiday rate of £36 per hour.
