Alecto Recruitment is representing a leading technical services provider to the construction and infrastructure sectors. This organisation specialises in site assessment, specialist operations, and ongoing equipment monitoring. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a National Plant Fitter to join their team, carrying out mechanical plant equipment maintenance and repairs.

Package & Benefits

• Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 (experience dependent)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays (rising to 31 days with service)
• Vehicle: Company van provided
• Other: Sick pay, travel nationally and occasionally overseas

The Role
As a National Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of plant and drilling equipment, including:

• Cable percussion & rotary drilling rigs
• Top hammers
• Grout mixing units
• Water & mud pumps
• Tanks, silos, and related machinery

Key Requirements

• Valid CSCS card or qualifications/apprenticeship to support application
• Full UK driving licence (clean)
• Own tools required for routine plant maintenance
• Workshop-based in Leeds, with frequent nationwide travel and occasional overseas assignments
• Essential Qualifications & Experience

Trained and/or qualified in:

• Abrasive wheels
• Welding and burning equipment
• Slinger/signaller
• Counterbalance forklift operation
• Strong understanding of:
• Hydraulic systems (including diagram interpretation)
• Electronic systems (including wiring diagrams)
• Engines and fuel systems
• Transmissions

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Plant Fitter with a broad mechanical skill set and a flexible approach to working nationally and occasionally abroad.
