Smiths is a dynamic and growing company specialising in Construction services and Waste management. The business started as a Plant Hire business in 1982 by Alan Smith with one old JCB. Smiths has grown to become one of the largest Construction and Waste businesses in the South-West and South Wales.

With Plant Hire at the core of Smiths and due to expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced mobile plant fitter to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional service, so join us and be part of our success!

Hours: 47.5 hours per week, 07:00 – 17:00

Salary Range: £14 - £18 per hour, dependent on experience

Responsibilities for the mobile plant fitter role:

• Carry out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on plant/equipment
• General maintenance of any plant/equipment within the workshop, as allocated by the Workshop Manager/Foreman
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with company policies, to a high standard, and in line with best practices
• Capability to perform hydraulic & electrical diagnoses on plant equipment
