Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking a field service engineer to respond to customers’ site repair and service requests for Caterpillar equipment. You will diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, provide detailed information for quotes, and work safely on customer sites, adhering to procedures and time constraints.
The successful candidate will have apprentice or NVQ level 3 engineering, experience with field diagnosis tools, and knowledge of heavy earth-moving equipment.

You will be tasked with responding to customers’ field repair and service requests diagnosing whilst providing comprehensive detail about the nature of the problem to the customer and Finning to create a quote as per the request of the customer within a cost and time-effective manner. Working within Finning’s industry-leading field service department, and for the world's largest CAT dealership, you will be at the forefront of the company's site diagnostic and repair capabilities for Caterpillar products.
You will need to have both outstanding customer focus coupled with in-depth knowledge of plant equipment. The ability to attend site and understand the customer needs and resolve any mechanical or electrical issues in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner, utilising the most up-to-date dealer software and repair techniques.
