Job summary

SER Ltd is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to join the team covering the North West region. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, a 40-hour week, overtime at 1.5x, and a fully equipped company van with door-to-door pay and personal use.

You will diagnose, service and repair a range of plant machinery at client sites, with industry-leading training provided. Comprehensive benefits include pension, private health insurance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and ongoing development

Qualifications

Experience as a plant/mobile engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Relevant qualifications in engineering or plant maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Ability to work independently and manage workload.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites across the northern region to perform maintenance and repairs.
Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on plant machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
Maintain records of work and parts used.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
