Job Title – Mobile Plant Engineer

Salary – £30000 – £45000 (DOE)

Hours – 39 p/week (Mon-Fri) Alternate Sat mornings, 8-12pm at overtime rate.

Location – Glasgow and surrounding areas.

I am currently working on behalf of a well-known Agricultural/Construction main dealer in the Glasgow area who has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer. This role involves covering the area for call outs and breakdowns, with occasional work on vehicles/machines at the depot. The primary responsibilities include servicing and maintaining construction equipment, ensuring machinery runs smoothly, and providing excellent customer service.

Great opportunity for a Mobile Plant Fitter with ongoing training, paid overtime, company van, and contracted hours of 39 per week (with overtime for additional hours, typically 45-55 hours/week).

Mobile Plant Engineer Main Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing machinery and equipment, both in the workshop and in the field.
• Fixing faults and installing replacement parts.
• Adhering to manufacturers’ service and warranty procedures.
• Recording all hours worked using timesheets or scanners.
• Keeping management informed of progress.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and professional work area and vehicle.
• Following health and safety policies, risk assessments, and safe working practices.

Mobile Plant Engineer Personal Specification

• Good mechanical knowledge of vehicles or machinery; experience in the plant or agricultural sector is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
• A full driver’s license is essential.
