Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to join a well-established fleet repair company in Birmingham. You will service and repair a range of plant equipment on site or at customer locations, delivering high-quality service and maintaining fleet performance.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £45,000 with overtime rates, a company van, and a quarterly bonus based on performance. NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as an HGV technician or plant mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Own toolset; specialist tools will be supplied by the company.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, repair, and refurbish plant equipment including dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, trailers, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications, environmental, and health and safety standards.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all service and repairs carried out.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring fleet performance remains optimal.
