Mobile Palliative Care and In-home Euthanasia Veterinary Surgeon

Roundwood Pet Hospice offers a bespoke end of life care service in the home setting to allow pets and their families to live life well to the end and say goodbye in the familiarity and peaceful environment of their own home. We partner with local practices so that families can access this valued service when they need it, allowing clinics to concentrate on the patients in their care, safe in the knowledge that Roundwood will look after their patients at home with dignity and respect.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Mobile Palliative Care and In-home Euthanasia Veterinary Surgeon. The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for providing palliative care and euthanasia services in the comfort of pet owners' homes. The role involves administering palliative care via telehealth and in person, and performing euthanasia procedures.

Qualifications

  • Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
  • At least 5 years experience in a veterinary clinic
  • Experience in providing palliative care and euthanasia services
  • Compassion and empathy for pets and their owners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience in house-call veterinary services is a plus
  • Confidence in driving and a car to use for this service
