Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a skilled Trade Operative (Painter & Decorator) to operate mobilely within the Responsive Repairs Unit. You will coordinate daily with tenants, admin staff and technical managers via telephone, email and PDA applications.

The role requires NVQ2 or City & Guilds in the relevant trade, with a proven track record in construction/maintenance and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time permanent post with a tool allowance.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 or City and Guilds in relevant trade.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in construction/maintenance workplace.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete repairs within timescales.
• Communicate with tenants, admin staff and technical managers.
