Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Maintenance Team across Kent care homes. The role requires travel between locations, a full clean driving licence, and a commitment to safe working practices.

You will perform total painting tasks, prep and finish, while assisting with basic maintenance to keep homes safe and welcoming for residents and staff. We value attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proven robust painting and decorating experience with attention to detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, with professionalism
• Ability to work at height and use access equipment
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Full and clean driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating tasks including prep, repair and finish of internal and external areas
• Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding and access equipment
• Keep work areas clean and minimise disruption to residents and staff
• Support general maintenance tasks (e.g. plumbing, tiling, minor repairs)
• Travel between care homes to support the maintenance team
