Job summary

Artemis Clarke Ltd is seeking a mobile Dispensing Assistant to provide exceptional patient service across optical and hearing care at multiple Hampshire clinics. You will support dispensing, wax removal via microsuction, and hearing care advice while traveling between sites.

You will need strong communication, be proactive, and willing to train toward HCPC qualification. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential to travel between branches.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration or willingness to train toward qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• HCA qualification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame selection and lens recommendations.
• Participate in the Optometrist handover process and take accurate dispensing measurements.
• Process, monitor and check spectacle orders, including focimetry.
• Carry out spectacle fittings, adjustments and minor repairs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and process payments.
• Support Optical Assistants with pre-screening and administrative tasks.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and company procedures.
• Support the hearing care patient journey and clinic administration.
• Perform ear wax removal training within competency and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, consent forms and referrals.
• Assist with hearing aid fittings, troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Identify opportunities to refer patients to the Audiologist.
• Maintain equipment, stock levels and clinical cleanliness standards.
