We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities and equipment.


Job Summary:


We are looking for a versatile Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. Candidates should have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, electrical and mechanical skills, and a passion for problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance.
  2. Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  3. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  4. Write and follow risk assessments and method statements to ensure a safe working environment.
  5. Use mobile devices to project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
  6. Liaise with onsite services to manage building services-related issues.
  7. Deputise for the shift leader during leave or sickness.
  8. Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.

Requirements:

  1. Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  2. Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  3. Electrical competencies to at least City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, with 17th Edition qualifications.
  4. Mechanical competencies to a standard equivalent to City and Guilds Mechanical qualifications.
  5. Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
  6. Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
  7. Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems.
  8. NVQ qualifications to Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  9. Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.

Desirable:

  1. Working at height qualification.
  2. IPAF certification.
  3. AP qualifications.
  4. Experience in heavy engineering.
