  • Title: Multi-Skilled Carpenter
  • Location: St Albans Area
  • Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)
  • Benefits: Company Van, Fuel Card, and comprehensive benefits package

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team, responsible for carrying out responsive and planned repairs across a diverse range of properties within the St Albans area. This is a mobile role ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a wide variety of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Door hanging and adjustments
    • Lock changes and installations
    • Repairing and fitting kitchen units, cupboards, and worktops
    • Boxing in pipework and other fixtures
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance work in both occupied and void properties.
  • Perform tasks in secondary trades, such as:
    • Minor plumbing works (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing taps)
    • Small area tiling
    • Patch plastering
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with residents and colleagues.
  • Accurately record job details and material usage.

What We are Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Carpenter.
  • A relevant trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) in Carpentry is essential.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in secondary trades such as minor plumbing, tiling, and plastering.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Essential: A valid full UK driving license held for a minimum of 12 months (as a company vehicle will be provided for work use only).
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
