Job Description:

Multiskilled Engineer Required (Electrical/Mechanical)

Duration: 3 Months Contract (Ends 09/06/2025)

Basic DBS Required

The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive call outs on a wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering plant, ensuring all activities are completed safely and in accordance with contracted specifications and company procedures. This includes Legionella control, fire alarm testing, and participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out routine PPM on mechanical and electrical plant as per site schedules and CAFM.
  • Completing reactive tasks promptly and proactively suggesting improvements.
  • Swiftly remedying plant faults and defects to maintain operational order.
  • Accurately completing all paperwork related to PPM and reactive works and passing it to the Helpdesk team.
  • Preparing and using Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, including wearing PPE at all times.
  • Keeping site log books updated and following sign-in/out procedures.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in plant rooms.
  • Supervising and monitoring subcontractors on site.
  • Providing flexibility for holiday and sickness cover.
  • Completing assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs/SLA's.
  • Updating CAFM systems with accurate data and closing tickets.
  • Operating Permit to Work systems as per company and client requirements.
  • Supporting the team in emergency situations to ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
Electrical:
  • Electrical qualification C&G Part A and B or C&G 236 Pt 1 & Pt 2
  • C&G 2330 Level 2 and 3 or AM1 & AM2 or C&G 2360 Pt 1 & Pt 2
  • C&G 2391 or 2394/2395
  • NICEIC Periodic Inspection, Testing, and Certification competency
Mechanical:
  • BTEC Level 3 Certification or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC
  • C&G 6188 Level 2 Heating and Ventilation or Competent Person Mechanical and Pressure Systems
  • Experience in plumbing system maintenance and fault rectification
