Job Title: Mobile HVAC Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mobile HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to cover sites in Manchester, Leeds, Wakefield, and Newcastle. The role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance of plant, equipment, and building services.

Role Summary:
  1. Identify and manage risks related to site equipment, including critical spares, performance improvements, environment management via BMS, and preventative maintenance.
  2. Maintain HVAC systems using new technologies, liaising with clients regarding reactive and PPM tasks.
  3. Fault find on HVAC equipment, especially VRV air conditioning systems, with F-Gas handling qualifications.
  4. Support health and safety initiatives within the team.
  5. Act as Energy Champion and Safety Champion for the site.
  6. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
  7. Prepare and review risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.
  8. Complete documentation per legal and company standards.
  9. Utilize mobile devices for work management via CAFM system.
  10. Plan daily tasks using email and calendar tools.
  11. Coordinate with onsite supervisors and account managers on building services issues.
  12. Deputize for the site supervisor when needed.
  13. Work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
  14. Perform ad hoc duties and supervise subcontractors.
  15. Participate in an on-call rota for emergencies outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
  • Recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Proven HVAC maintenance experience.
  • Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
  • Multi-skilled with fault-finding abilities.
  • Supervisory experience with contractors.
  • Ability to complete risk assessments and method statements.
  • Understanding of permits and safe systems of work.
  • F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
Desirable:
  • Working at Height qualification.
  • IPAF / PASMA certifications.
  • AP qualifications.
  • BMS system experience.
  • HVAC controls knowledge.
