Job Title: Mobile HVAC Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to cover sites in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Chesterfield, and Sheffield.

The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Role Summary
  1. Identify and manage risks to the client through on-site equipment, including critical spares, performance improvements, environment management via BMS, and efficient operation of plant and equipment, along with preventative maintenance programs.
  2. Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with clients on reactive and PPM tasks.
  3. Fault find on various HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on VRV systems, and handle refrigerants with F-Gas qualifications.
  4. Support team health and safety initiatives.
  5. Act as Energy Champion and Safety Champion for the site.
  6. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
  7. Write and follow risk assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
  8. Complete required documentation per rules and legislation.
  9. Use mobile devices to project and complete work via CAFM system.
  10. Plan daily work using email and calendar tools for efficiency.
  11. Liaise with onsite supervisor and account manager on building services issues.
  12. Act as responsible person when needed and deputize for the site supervisor during absences.
  13. Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
  14. Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
  15. Supervise and manage subcontractors.
  16. Participate in on-call rota for emergency responses outside normal hours.
Experience Required
  1. Recognized or Time Served Apprenticeship.
  2. Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
  3. Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
  4. Multi-skilled abilities.
  5. Fault-finding skills.
  6. Supervisory experience with contractors.
  7. Ability to complete risk assessments and method statements.
  8. Understanding of permits and safe systems of work.
  9. F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Working at Height qualification.
  • IPAF/PASMA certification.
  • AP qualifications.
  • BMS system experience.
  • HVAC controls knowledge.
