Job Title: Mobile HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team covering sites in Manchester, Leeds, Wakefield, and Newcastle.
The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.
Role Summary:
- Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including critical spares, improving plant performance, managing environment conditions via BMS, and running all plant and equipment efficiently. Implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client on reactive and PPM tasks.
- Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems. Must have refrigerant handling qualifications, including F-Gas.
- Support health and safety initiatives within the team.
- Act as Energy Champion and support Safety Champion roles for the site.
- Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
- Write and follow Risk Assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
- Complete documentation according to rules and legislation.
- Use mobile devices to project and complete work via the CAFM system.
- Plan daily work using email and calendars for efficiency.
- Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager on building services issues.
- Depose as responsible person when required, including deputising during absences.
- Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
- Perform adhoc duties as required.
- Supervise and manage sub-contractors.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency responses outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
- A Recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance
- Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards
- Multi-skilled abilities
- Fault finding skills
- Contractor supervision experience
- Ability to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Understanding of permits and safe systems of work
- F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use

- Working at Height Qualification
- IPAF / PASMA
- AP Qualifications
- BMS system experience
- HVAC Controls experience
