Job Purpose

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile Engineer to join sites across the Northwest of England between Liverpool and Manchester. The successful candidate will ensure environmental conditions are maintained around critical building systems and will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to sites across the advertised locations. Full UK driving license required.
  • Carry out routine PPM (to SFG 20) on all mechanical and electrical plant per site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Complete reactive tasks and identify improvements; include concessionary stores and fabric items.
  • Restore plant faults and defects to ensure plant remains in serviceable order.
  • Maintain suitable spares and provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works and submit to the contract administrator without delay.
  • Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with CBRE staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment; wear uniform and PPE at all times.
  • Present a professional image of CBRE Managed Services at all times.
  • Keep up-to-date shift logs and ensure all plant rooms under CBRE Managed Services are clean, tidy and locked when appropriate.
  • Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site during maintenance.
  • Arrange holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns; lone working may be required after training.
  • Ensure tasks are actioned and completed with appropriate Health & Safety awareness/implementation.
  • Align with contractual KPIs/SLA targets and maintain the Computer Based Maintenance system (SI LOCAL), closing PPM and reactive tickets with accurate data.
  • Operate a Permit to Work System in line with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
  • Provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.
  • Undertake any other tasks directed by the account management team.
Qualifications
Education
  • A good basic education with good written and spoken English.
  • Basic Mathematics skills.
  • CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field.
Skills
  • Committed to excellent customer service.
  • Calm under pressure and able to make sound decisions.
  • Physically fit to carry tools and components up to 20kg; able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment and work at heights.
  • Team player and able to work with CBRE Managed Services and Alstom representatives.
  • Good PC skills.
Knowledge
  • Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures; maintenance schedules and building services systems.
  • Formal training in electrical/mechanical maintenance; BMS knowledge; mechanical and commissioning experience.
  • Qualified in Health and Safety (e.g., IOSH).
  • Knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDUs, CRAC units or equivalent; ability to fault find using alarms and graphical information.
  • Understanding of maintainable vs. BPL maintained assets in laboratory/production environments.
Experience
  • Mechanical maintenance skills and experience maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined criteria.
  • Good all-round knowledge of building works and service systems.
Circumstances
