Job summary
AFI group of companies is seeking a MEWPS Engineer based from our Peterborough depot, covering the East region with a mobile role visiting customer sites. You will perform PDIs, servicing, LOLER inspections, and repairs while maintaining our fleet's reliability and image.
Ideal candidates hold an engineering qualification (NVQ2 or equivalent) and robust electro/hydraulic knowledge, with fault-finding skills and professional communication. IPAF licence is required.
Qualifications
- Engineering qualification (ideally in plant maintenance) - NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
- Competent in electro/hydraulic systems.
- Experienced in fault-finding/diagnostics.
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced hire environment.
- IPAF Operator licence/certification required.
- Sound mechanical knowledge in a powered access background.
Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), services, LOLER inspections, repairs and manufacturer updates.
- Attend breakdowns on customer sites.
- Record checks using a PDA and follow company procedure.
- Communicate with the engineering team and hire office to maximise machine availability.
