Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Operations team in Manchester. You will perform planned maintenance on critical HVAC and mechanical systems, adhere to SFG20 standards, and maintain clear communication with the client site engineering team.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical field, experience with BMS controls, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Evidence of data centre or clean room maintenance experience is essential.
• Proficient in PC applications and MS Office for reporting.
• Experience with BMS controls and HVAC systems is required.
• Technical knowledge to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Flexibility to respond to client needs and emergencies.
• Ability to interpret safety and QA procedures and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks per schedule (daily/weekly/monthly/6 monthly).
• Maintain electrical and mechanical plant services to industry standards.
• Coordinate with client site engineering team and FM supervisor; produce weekly activity reports.
• Oversee subcontractors, ensuring adherence to risk assessments and permits.
• Identify parts, obtain quotations, and manage condition maintenance plans.
• Ensure statutory maintenance documentation is accessible and up to date.
• Assist with audit compliance and review SOPs and training scenarios.
