Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to service South Wales and surrounding areas, with occasional contracts in Bristol. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle and benefits package.

You will maintain and repair heating and hot water systems, carry out installations with certification, and manage site paperwork. A DBS check is required, and a full driving licence is essential. DBS enhanced with barred lists check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
• Appropriate Plumbing Qualifications essential.
• C&G Level 2 in Plumbing or Gas. Ideally Level 3.
• Must have a full driver’s licence.
• This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing heating/hot water systems and general plumbing.
• Carrying out installation work and completing appropriate certification.
• Covering multiple sites within the contract (e.g. Stellantis, Guide Dogs, IOPC, ITV).
• Ensuring all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works is completed and passed to the contract administrator.
• Identifying and recording plant failures in the CAFM system and taking proactive steps for improvements.
• Participating in the on-call rota.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to join our team working across South Wales and the South West on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

The majority of the work will be based in South Wales and the surrounding areas whilst also covering contracts in Bristol occasionally.

What will you deliver?

• Working on the following equipment but not limited to; Associated Gas Equipment, Water Heaters, Water Supply etc.
• Maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems and general plumbing
• Carry out Installation work and complete appropriate Certification
• Cover numerous sites that fall within the contract such as Stellantis, Guide Dogs, IOPC, ITV etc.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
• Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager. This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system
• Take part in the on call rota
