Job description

Mobile Mechanical Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Temp to Perm contract

Monday to Friday - 40 hours

Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 per annum

Recruiting on behalf of a Multi-National established Facilities Management company on a Prestigious contract based in Birmingham.

The Mechanical Engineer will be carrying out PPM/reactive tasks on Mechanical/Commercial Plumbing plant equipment. They must have a full working knowledge of HVAC building services, water treatment, BMS systems, etc.

Duties for the Mechanical Engineer will include:

  • Carrying out PPMs and reactive work on Boilers, Heating and LT Hot water/Cold water systems, Plumbing and drainage, Pneumatic systems
  • Good understanding of BMS control
  • Ventilation – VAV systems, Air Handling Units and Air Conditioning
  • Knowledge of Chillers and refrigeration
  • A good understanding of Written schemes and insurance inspection requirements
  • Knowledge of boosted pumps/motors
  • Gas safety
  • Understanding of permits to work
  • A good understanding of L8 and water systems

Qualifications:

C&G Engineer/Maintenance levels 1-3

C&G Heating & Ventilation and advance level 3

C&G Mechanical Engineering levels 1-3

Equivalent NVQ accepted
