Job summary

Mitie Group plc. at Heathrow Airport is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to deliver maintenance services across HVAC, water, and associated plant, while meeting SLA targets.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, adherence to safety procedures, and clear documentation, with on-call duties and a focus on quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Maintenance/Facilities Management.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. C&G Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Valid full UK driving licence and IT literacy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to use mobile devices effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plumbing, ventilation (AHUs, extract/intake), heating and cooling systems (thermal wheels, FCUs), and water assets (booster sets, calorifiers, water heaters).
• Deliver high-quality service, respond to client queries, and report defects.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time, including inspection reports and remedial logs.
• Support supervisor with maintenance planning on critical assets.
• Perform manual tasks including working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Participate in On-Call Rota and adhere to Health & Safety and Permit to Work procedures.
