Qualifications

• City & Guilds or similar qualification in motor vehicle technology required.
• Experience in mechanical engineering highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions in fleet vehicles.

Overview

About our client: Our client is an industry leader in commercial van leasing, with an average fleet age of just 14.5 months, 12 sites across the UK, and group annual turnover in excess of £38.7m.

What this opportunity is

Working as part of a busy team within their van's business, we have an opportunity for a Mobile Mechanic based at one of our client's operations at Milton Keynes, Heathrow, Manchester or Doncaster. You can be based at any of these locations.

What you will do

• Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard
• Whenever called upon, attend breakdowns
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions of our fleet
• From time to time, you will also be required to remove and change tyres
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines

You will bring

• Have a city & guilds or similar qualification in motor vehicle technology
• Attended a mechanical engineering course
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines
• You will be expected to work independently, be up to date with health and safety practices and have good working knowledge of tyres
• Have the ability to work alone and manage your own time
• All candidates will need to demonstrate that they have the Right to Work in the UK
• A clean driving license is also highly desirable
