Job summary

RAC Motoring Services (SMR) in Selby, Yorkshire, seeks mobile vehicle technicians to perform planned servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and on-site repairs at members’ driveways and car parks.

You will work a 40-hour week, with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays. You’ll operate from a fully equipped RAC van with a fuel card, uniform, and tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent); 2+ years’ on-vehicle experience.
• Or 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence (≤6 points).

• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.

You’ll be part of the Leeds cluster, covering areas like Leeds, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Dewsbury, Batley, Morley, Pudsey, Otley, Garforth. You’ll be out on the road in your local area, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments - no reactive callouts, just organised, pre booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly.

What to expect. Your day starts with a clear digital schedule. Each job is pre booked, with the member expecting you.

• A competitive base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000
