RAC is seeking Mobile Mechanic technicians for its SMR division covering Leeds and surrounding towns. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at customers’ locations, following a structured drivability and safety workflow.
You’ll work with a fully equipped RAC van and rostered pre-booked appointments, enjoying independence, problem-solving tasks, and ongoing training including EV and diagnostic skills. Base + overtime opportunities provide career growth.
You’ll be part of the Leeds cluster, covering areas like Leeds, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Dewsbury, Batley, Morley, Pudsey, Otley, Garforth. You’ll be out on the road in your local area, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments - no reactive callouts, just organised, pre-booked work where you can focus on doing the job properly.

From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics. You’ll use your technical skill and problem-solving ability to get people moving again; safely, quickly and confidently.

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
