Job summary

City Facilities Management Ltd. is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for a mobile role covering Banbury and surrounding areas. The role involves planned visits and responsive maintenance across multiple stores, with a provided van.

You will perform a range of building fabric and housekeeping repairs, including basic plumbing, joinery, painting and minor PPMs to keep stores safe and fully operational. Strong communication with store management is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in a relevant trade; multi-trade FM experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Ability to carry out fabric and grounds repairs across floors, walls, doors, toilets and fixtures.
• Confident using iPads to log tasks and access systems.
• Delivers work to a consistently high standard with pride and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive company standards, values and behaviours - represent City professionally, follow policies and attend required training.
• Complete minor maintenance and fabric repairs - joinery, painting, basic plumbing, floor repairs, fixtures and fittings; ensure high safety standards.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance - complete tasks within timescales and keep documentation up to date.
• Respond promptly to Helpdesk requests - assess requirements, complete repairs where possible.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials - ensure equipment is safe and ready to use.
• Provide clear support and communication across allocated stores - visit up to 15 locations, inform store teams of dates, times and progress.
