Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Technician
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile Maintenance Technician to cover sites in Oxford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Stanstead, and North London.
The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary:
- Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving machinery performance, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment.
- Liaise with the client on requests for machinery and perform PPMs.
- Fault find on all types of machinery.
- Support colleagues in health and safety matters.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Write and follow risk assessments, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Complete required documentation in accordance with all rules and legislation.
- Work on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V.
- Maintain motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Use mobile devices to project and complete work via the CAFM maintenance system.
- Plan daily work using email and calendar tools.
- Liaise with onsite site services to manage building service issues.
- Act as the responsible person for the department, deputising for the shift leader when necessary.
- Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
Experience Required:
- A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
- Strong experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical qualifications to City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition or equivalent.
- Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
- Good multi-skilled ability.
- Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
- Fault-finding abilities.
- PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors.
- Ability to write risk and method statements.
