Job summary

Amey is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mobile) to support the Ministry of Justice across a small regional patch centred on HMP Leicester. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensure compliance, and promote safety.

The role is permanent and full-time (39 hours per week) with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and a 15% shift allowance. A relevant trade qualification and a full UK driving licence are essential, with full training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification or maintenance experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Basic health & safety and IT awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
• Supporting a range of building systems and compliance tasks.
• Acting as an Authorised Person (training provided).
• Following safety and security procedures.
• Taking part in an on-call and weekend rota.
