Job summary

Amey is seeking an experienced electrician to support the Ministry of Justice across a small regional patch of sites, carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance to keep essential services running safely and efficiently.

This permanent, full-time position (39 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends) offers a clear career path, van and fuel card, and progression opportunities with fully funded training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition (or working towards).
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing.
• AM2 and/or ECS Gold Card.
• Experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
• Taking responsibility for electrical systems as an Authorised and Responsible Person.
• Managing permits, isolations and ensuring safe systems of work.
• Reviewing electrical certificates and ensuring compliance.
• Supporting site teams with technical advice and guidance.
• Assisting with minor works, upgrades and inspections.
