Role: Mobile Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (On Call Rota 1 in 6)

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: £42,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card + Paid Travel Time + On Call Allowance + Flexible Benefits

NG Bailey Facilities Services are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team, providing support across two key contracts based in Watford (WD17) and Cambridge (CB3). This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced engineer with a background in electrical or mechanical maintenance to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance in commercial environments.

You will be responsible for maintaining building services systems, completing compliance documentation, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service across both sites. A full UK Driving Licence is essential, and a company van will be provided.

Duties
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on M&E building services systems.
  • Carry out small works, emergency lighting tests, HVAC PPM, lighting upgrades, and fault diagnosis.
  • Maintain compliance records and update site documentation for audits.
  • Ensure all works are carried out to H&S standards, including supervising subcontractors where required.
  • Undertake remedial and reactive repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Provide an exceptional standard of service across commercial, occupied environments.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical or Mechanical discipline (or equivalent City & Guilds).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • C&G 2391 or AM2 (advantageous).
  • Strong experience in fault finding, PPM, and remedial works within building services.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Experience
  • IOSH Working/Managing Safely.
  • Permit to Work / RAMS procedures.
  • L8 Legionella Training.
