Job summary

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent is hiring a skilled LCV Technician / Mechanic for its Flex-E-Rent Mobile team in Canterbury. You will diagnose, repair and prepare a range of commercial vehicles, taking ownership from fault finding through to completion.

The role emphasizes quality, safety and continuous improvement with a Monday–Friday pattern and no weekend shifts. Relevant qualifications and a valid UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance with HGV/LCV/commercial fleets experience.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• 21+ years old for insurance purposes and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
• Take ownership of repairs from diagnosis to completion.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Maintain records using digital systems and tools.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles
• Carrying out mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults efficiently
• Working with leading manufacturers including Mercedes, Iveco and Ford
• Taking ownership of repairs from diagnosis through to successful completion
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards
• Maintaining accurate records using digital systems and tools
• Collaborating with a skilled and friendly team to maximise vehicle availability
• Adapting to changing priorities and supporting the team across a variety of vehicle types and repair requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Good organisation and time-management skills

• Experience with vehicle electrical systems and modern vehicle technology
• Experience preparing vehicles for MOT

• Strong IT skills and confidence using workshop systems

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicle fleets
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Aged 21 and above for insurance purposes
• Full right to work in the UK
