Job summary

Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics, the UK’s leading independent hose and hydraulics specialist, is hiring a Field Service Engineer to attend customer sites to replace hoses and components and diagnose faults on hydraulic systems.

You will work independently with a strong focus on safe, quality repairs, maintain excellent customer service, and update job records via our mobile app. A Full UK driving licence is essential, with on‑call duties as part of the rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in hose replacement, plant, HGV, agricultural or mechanical fitting.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work safely and independently on site.

Responsibilities

• Attending customer sites to replace hydraulic hoses and components.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs safely and efficiently.
• Working independently while delivering excellent customer service.
• Updating jobs and reports via the company mobile app.
• Building relationships with new and existing customers.

Essential Experience

What we’re looking for

• Experience in hose replacement, plant, HGV, agricultural or mechanical fitting
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Confidence dealing directly with customers

Desirable Experience

• Mobile or on‑call engineering experience
• Commercial awareness or customer development experience

This role includes participation in an on‑call rota, typically one week in every four.
