We are hiring!
We are seeking an outgoing and competitive hydraulic field service technician, servicing on site hydraulic hose repairs in the area. We are looking for self motivated people who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person. There will be an after hours call out roster which is on a 24 hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.
The central role will be to provide a professional On-site Hose Replacement Service to Pirtek customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hr ‘on-call’ rota with other franchise technicians.
The day to day management of a Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) to include:
To attend Pirtek training courses as requested by management
Good personal presentation and adherence to Pirtek policies and procedures
The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable
Candidates will be expected to actively promote Pirtek products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory.
Basic mechanical knowledge
Good manual dexterity and physical ability
Good communication skills both orally and in writing
The ability to present yourself in a professional and courteous manner to customers and staff
The ability to work unsupervised and to time constraints
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to engineering personnel
Successful completion of the Pirtek Induction and Training programmes (based in Birmingham) and subsequent on-site assessments as requested by management
