Job summary

Pirtek Aberdeen is hiring a Mobile Sales and Service Technician to service on-site hydraulic hose needs in the Aberdeen area. You will join a 24-hour on-call rota and promote Pirtek products to customers within your territory.

We seek self-motivated individuals with a mechanical/engineering background and a willingness to undergo training. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Technical/engineering environment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Pirtek Aberdeen is under new management and we are seeking a number of outgoing and competitive MSSTs (Mobile Sales and Service Technicians) Servicing on site hydraulic hoses repairs in the area. We are looking for self motivated people who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person. There will be an after hours call out roster which is on a 24 hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.

Key functions & responsibilities

The central role will be to provide a professional On-site Hose Replacement Service to Pirtek customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hr ‘on-call’ rota with other franchise technicians. Candidates will be expected to actively promote Pirtek products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory. The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

The day to day management of a Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) to include:

• Maintaining sufficient stock levels within the MSSU as per a franchise supplied stock list.
• Performing routine maintenance checks in accordance with the MSSU defect checklist
• Ensuring the MSSU is kept clean and tidy inside and outside
• Managing all Pirtek supplied documentation within the MSSU including technical and procedural updates

To provide assistance to Centre staff within the franchise when requested

To attend Pirtek training courses as requested by management

Good personal presentation and adherence to Pirtek policies and procedures

Work experience

• Ideal person to have plant or motor trade background or experience with hydraulics
• Work experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential

Educational requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• GCSE in English and Maths
