We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, and recordkeeping.
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and make necessary repairs.
  • Test HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Ensure statutory compliance with F-Gas regulations.
  • Carry out installation of air conditioning systems when required.
  • Produce detailed technical quotations, including parts and labour, to ensure profitability, cost control, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
  • Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
  • Escalate issues promptly to Supervisor/Contract Manager.
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota and attend emergency repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve client objectives.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient plant operation without disruption.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience working on various air conditioning equipment including VRVs, VRFs, and splits.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
  • Strong fault-finding skills, capable of working on traditional and modern systems.
  • Ability to work safely and diligently.
Specific Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning
  • FGAS Category 1 certification
  • Electrical qualifications (beneficial)
  • IPAF/PASMA certification (beneficial)
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Contract-specific vetting including financial and employment background checks
  • Manufacturer courses or knowledge (beneficial)
