Job summary

Kautec Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Field Service Vehicle Engineer to service a range of heavy vehicles across workshops in North London and Essex. You will travel by road, perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, and respond to callouts and emergencies.

Role involves MOT prep, engine and electrical work, and adherence to safety standards while advancing your knowledge of electric and hydrogen vehicle tech.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or accredited via an authorised Apprenticeship.
• A Class 2 Licence would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide callouts to client sites and perform preventative maintenance.
• Handle emergency breakdowns and pre-arranged servicing at rural sites.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and perform engine work with diagnostics.
• Correct running defects and carry out chassis/fabrication work.
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical/wiring inspections and corrections.
• Strive to improve vehicle standards and adhere to health and safety rules.
