Job description

Job Title: Mobile HGV Technician

Shift: Monday – Friday days / 48 hrs

Location: Solihull

Salary: £45,000 + Van, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone, Overtime (paid at 1.5X), OTE £60,000+

Benefits: Van, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone, Paid door to door, All overtime paid at 1.5X (plenty available), Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, death in service, 3X annual salary, on call payment

Overview

Due to increased business levels, our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional mobile HGV technician to the team. As a mobile HGV Technician, you will be based from home covering Wolverhampton and the surrounding area.

You will work 48 hours per week between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Training

Industry-leading training is provided from day one, including two weeks in an office environment and one week shadowing an existing mobile HGV Technician.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on trucks and commercial vehicles.
  2. Conduct visual or operational checks to identify worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts.
  3. Use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to identify and repair defective machine parts or systems, utilizing test equipment.
  4. Inspect accident-damaged machines and produce detailed reports for repairs.
  5. Work on customer sites, with or without workshop facilities.
Requirements
  1. Experience working on heavy goods vehicles.
  2. Previous mobile HGV technician experience is advantageous.
  3. Experience with GSE is a plus.
  4. Valid UK driving license.
  5. Based in the Derby area.
