Mobile HGV Technician Opportunity

Due to increased business levels, our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional mobile HGV technician to the team. As a mobile HGV Technician, you will be based from home covering Rugby and the surrounding area.

Job Details:

• Shift: Monday – Friday, 48 hours per week, between 7.00am and 6.30pm
• Location: Rugby
• Salary & Benefits: £45,000 + Van, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone, Paid door-to-door, Overtime paid at 1.5X (plenty available), OTE £60,000+
• Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, death in service, 3X annual salary, on-call payment

Training: Industry-leading training from day 1, including 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing an experienced mobile HGV technician.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on trucks and commercial vehicles
• Conduct visual or operational checks to identify worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts
• Use technical manuals and diagnostic tools to identify and repair defective parts or systems
• Inspect accident-damaged machines and produce detailed reports for repairs
• Work on customer sites, with or without workshop facilities

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on heavy goods vehicles
• Experience as a mobile HGV technician is beneficial
• Experience with GSE is an advantage
• Valid UK driving licence
• Residing in the Rugby area
