Job description

HGV Technician

Our Client is involved within the Transport Industry over 7 depots across the country and is looking for a self-motivated and keen HGV Technician to join their team. This role would be mobile, looking after their sites across the Midlands.

Key Information:

  • Permanent / Full Time
  • Location: Loughborough
  • Salary: £20ph
  • Shifts: 6am – 3pm, 42 hours per week

Duties: HGV Technician

  • Perform repairs and regular maintenance on our heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), trailers, and other vehicles in our company fleet to keep them running smoothly and safely according to the current laws and regulations.
  • Diagnose any issues with the fleet and make plans to fix them efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records including inspection documents and job sheets to document the work done and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide roadside repair services in case any of our vehicles experience breakdowns while on the road, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements: HGV Technician

  • Fully Qualified (NVQ or City and Guilds)
  • Own Tools
  • Experience dealing with HGV Trucks as a HGV Technician (5 years)
