Job description

Job Title: Mobile HGV Technician

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: 45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Mobile HGV Technician to join our team in Bournemouth. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of 45,000 per annum and a Monday-to-Friday day shift, ensuring an excellent work-life balance. As a Mobile HGV Technician, you will provide on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for a wide range of heavy goods vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs to ensure roadworthiness.
  2. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
  3. Attend breakdowns and provide timely and efficient roadside repairs.
  4. Conduct pre-MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for testing.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out, including service records and inspection reports.
  6. Order and manage parts efficiently to ensure minimal vehicle downtime.
  7. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
  2. Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently in a mobile role.
  5. Full UK driving license (essential).
  6. HGV license (desirable but not essential).
