Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer to cover customer sites across Kent and the surrounding Kent/Southern Essex area. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining and repairing 16-tonne+ forklifts with a strong emphasis on diagnostics and safety compliance.

OTE and salary reflect seniority and overtime opportunities. Candidate must have at least 5 years of forklift experience, full UK driving licence, and be comfortable working independently on customer sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Forklift Engineer / Material Handling Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance and repair work on forklifts and material handling equipment up to 16 Tonne.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Carry out LOLER inspections to ensure equipment remains compliant.
• Complete safety checks and pre-delivery inspections.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Accurately complete service reports, job sheets and documentation.
• Communicate with parts department to source and install correct components.
