Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a Mobile Head of Kitchen to lead multiple catering sites across Nottinghamshire. The role covers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 2:00pm, with 39.2 weeks per year, delivering high quality food and service standards.

You will manage day-to-day kitchen operations, supervise staff, ensure food safety and hygiene, control stock and waste, and travel between sites as required to support the catering operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably supervising or managing teams.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Organise workloads and perform under pressure.
• Flexible availability to work across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to menus.
• Manage day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple sites.
• Supervise and support catering staff.
• Monitor food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliance.
• Manage stock levels, orders and minimise waste.
• Maintain accurate records per company procedures.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
• Provide coverage and support across the catering operation as needed.
