Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mobile Generator Engineer in Chelmsford. You will travel to customer sites across the area to service, maintain and repair diesel generators and related equipment, with workshop work as needed.

We offer a permanent, full-time role with an annual salary of £31,000–£41,000, overtime at time-and-a-half, a company van and fuel card, ongoing training and genuine long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Generator Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Plant Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
• Experience working on diesel generators or similar equipment.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, engines and diagnostics.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites.
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Testing equipment and identifying faults to ensure reliable operation.
• Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers.
• Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Generator Engineer to join a well-established business supporting customers across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.
